Lessons After Lockdown

The last thing we need is a ‘return to normal’ in our post-lockdown lives



“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of
we used when we created them.” 


That’s pure Albert Einstein for you right there. Profound, eternally relevant, and yet so simple in its revelation. It’s one of many quotes I stumbled upon in the depths of my 2020/2021 lockdown.

I sometimes wonder what these genius’ would think of our contemporary lifestyles. I can’t help feeling Einstein would be quite distressed to see the sharing of his words across Instagram in aesthetically-pleasing typography while the world careens towards breakdown. We’ve managed to build the most incredible structures, create technology that can mimic human processing, invent powerful penicillins and vaccines, travel from one side of the continent to another in mere hours.. yet we’re more stressed, more sleep deprived and more scared than ever before. And that’s not even factoring in the environmental state of the planet.
